Japan is one among my favourite locations for images, so after I traveled there final month for the annual CP+ digicam expo, I considered what digicam to take. Since I am engaged on ending up our opinions of the Panasonic Lumix S5II and S5IIX twins, I made a decision it will be an ideal alternative to get some further taking pictures time on the S5IIX. As a bonus, it allowed me to check Panasonic’s new 28-200 F4-7.1 Macro OIS, a lens so small it simply begs for use for journey.

If there’s one theme that is constant all through this gallery, it is umbrellas. This was one of many rainiest journeys I’ve taken in years, and aside from a few days, I used to be hard-pressed to take an image of something with out an umbrella within the body. Though it wasn’t particularly my mission, it was a superb alternative to check the S5IIX’s climate sealing. On a number of events, the digicam was uncovered to fixed rain for a number of hours, dripping moist all the time. I am comfortable to report that it by no means missed a beat. Kudos to Panasonic for that.

This gallery contains avenue images from Tokyo and Yokohama, in addition to pictures of snow monkeys at Jigokudani Monkey Park close to Nagano.
